MAGNESIUM CARBONATE
FOOD & PHARMACEUTICAL GRADES
TECHNICAL GRADE
Magnesium carbonate is a naturally occurring mineral, also known as magnesite. Though the most common use for Mg(CO)3 is calcining to produce magnesium oxide, magnesium carbonate also supports the need for elemental magnesium or as an industrial pH adjuster depending on the specific application.
The ultra-high purity magnesium carbonate is used in the formulation of magnesium supplements and several food services processes as an anti-caking agent due to the material's absorbent properties. The ability to draw up moisture makes Mg(CO)3 an optimal solution in various athletic applications as anti-slip hand chalk.
